Jesus told his disciples to “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

At St Matts, we want to be making disciples here in West Pennant Hills, and sending people out to make disciples around the world. Our purpose is to engage our world with the grace and truth of the gospel so that many people may be drawn in to relationship with Jesus Christ.

To live out our purpose in our local community, St Matts provides opportunities for people to connnect with our church and connect with Jesus. Each week, our church connects with our community through ESL, playgroups, kids club and youth group. We also run Seek Courses for people who are seeking to know more about life, God and the Christian faith. 

To live out our purpose in our world, St Matts sends out and partners with gospel workers around the globe. We are committed to raising up and sending out people from our church with the good news of Jesus, so that many people can come to know him. We consider our Mission Partners to be part of our church, and we partner with them prayerfully, practically and financially. 

Seek Courses

Jesus said, “Ask and you will receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you” (Matthew 7:7). Jesus invites us to ask, seek and knock to find out more about him, and these Seek Courses are a great way to do this!

Alpha

At Alpha, we explore the big questions about life, faith and God. Over 7 weeks, we meet to enjoy a meal together, watch a video about a topic, then discuss what we thought about the video. Alpha is a place where you can be open and honest about what you think about God.

Christianity Explored

At Christianity Explored, we explore who Jesus is, learning about his life, his teachings, his death and his resurrection. Each week, we watch a video about Jesus’ life, explore more from the book of Mark, and have opportunities to ask questions about the Jesus, the Bible and what it all means for our lives.

This is a great course to follow on after Alpha, or if you want to dive deep into exploring the Bible.
